He received his PhD degree from University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada in 2015. His doctoral dissertation was on the development of a new silicon-based technology for millimeterwave (mmWave) and terahertz integrated systems.

As a Research Associate, he is now with Centre for Intelligent Antenna and Radio Systems (CIARS) group, University of Waterloo. He is currently investigating the new generation of integrated sub mmWave and terahertz technology. He is a lead and senior engineer in the field of mmWave/THz systems and antenna measurement at CIARS.

Aidin is co-founder of two start-ups both spin offs from university of Waterloo. His first start up, TIGA Photonics established in 2014, is working on new generations of spectrometers and opto-electronic devices. His second start-up, INWAVO established in 2016, is about introducing a new cost-effective and non-invasive early-stage skin cancer detector.
