Speaker: Carla Girolametto, Director of Research, Innovation and Clinical Trials at Grand River Hospital.
Abstract: This talk will focus on Ethics and Regulatory aspects of conducting research in a clinical setting with the involvement of Human Participants with a specific focus on Clinical Research related to the use of medical devices.
Bio: Carla joined GRH in 2003 as a Clinical Research Coordinator with the opening of the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. She took oversight of Clinical Trials and Research in 2012. Carla holds a Master of Arts from the University of Venice in Italy and a Master of Science with a specialty in Clinical Research Administration from the George Washington University, U.S.A.
