Webinar:
"Biomedical
Engineering
Simulation
with
COMSOL"
UW
has
a
research
site
license
for
Comsol
Multiphysics.
Researchers
can
join
this
license
and
use
the
software
for
a
per-user
yearly
fee,
which
can
be
paid
for
from
a
University
account
at
IST's
"webstore",
https://strobe.uwaterloo.ca/ist/saw/webstore/.
This
yearly
fee
includes
the
core
Comsol
software
and
many
add-ons
for
various
engineering
fields.
The
research
license
is
available
to
faculty
and
their
grad
students.
COMSOL
will
give
a
free
webinar
on
"Biomedical
Engineering
Simulation
with
COMSOL."
Details
and
registration
are
available
below.
Guest
Speaker:
Mark
Yeoman
from
Continuum
Blue.
Multiphysics
simulation
is
being
used
to
aid
researchers
and
engineers
in
enhancing
their
understanding
of
the
mechanisms
and
sensitivities
at
play
in
biomedical
applications.
This
enables
better
design
decisions
and
improved
product
performance
before
performing
any
physical
tests.
In
this
webinar,
you'll
see
examples,
including
a
live
demonstration,
of
how
COMSOL
Multiphysics
is
helping
biomedical
engineers
gain
valuable
insight
into
spine
mechanics,
develop
patient-specific
orthopedic
implants
and
optimize
the
performance
of
bioreactors.
We
will
conclude
with
a
15-minute
Q&A
session.
