Over
eighty
industry
and
University
of
Waterloo
(UW)
researchers
assembled
at
the
University
of
Waterloo
to
discover
some
of
the
latest
developments
in
science
and
engineering
underlying
today’s
innovations
in
biomaterials
and
biomanufacturing. Organized
by
the
Centre
for
Bioengineering
and
Biotechnology
(CBB)
and
the
Waterloo
Institute
for
Nanotechnology
(WIN)
and
the
Office
of
Research,
the
Forum
gave
industry
an
opportunity
to
ask
an
expert
and
explore
potential
collaborations
with
UW
researchers
and
grant
funding
opportunities
through
Ontario
Centres
of
Excellence
(OCE),
Natural
Science
&
Engineering
Research
Council
of
Canada
(NSERC),
and
the
University
of
Waterloo.
Researchers
from
across
UW
presented
their
biotechnology
related
research
at
the
event
alongside
companies
such
as
Aereus
Technologies,
GE
Healthcare,
Mirexus,
ON
Semiconductor,
PnuVax,
Sanofi
Pasteur,
Suncayr,
and
Woodbridge
Foam. Both
industry
and
researchers
highlighted
advances
in
the
development
of
biomaterials
and
biomanufacturing
processes
that
contribute
to
innovative
solutions
in
the
areas
of
health,
agriculture,
environment,
manufacturing,
software
and
more.
The
conference
organizers
would
like
to
thank
