CBB members receive Chronic Disease Prevention Initiative seed grant

The University of Waterloo’s Propel Centre for Population Health Impact has announced the recipients of the Fall 2014 Chronic Disease Prevention Initiative Seed Fund competition. Some CBB members are listed as contributing researchers in the winning projects.

  1. "Antibiotics and lung surfactant in cystic fibrosis and chronic lung disease" with team members Scott Taylor; Nanotechnology, and Zoya Leonenko; Physics & Astronomy.
  2. "COMPuterized Sideline Screening (COMPaSS) of neuromotor performance to prevent Chronic Effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)" with team contributing member Dana Kulic from Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  3. "Technology and Type 2 diabetes: Examining older adults’ reactions to assistive technology for self-management" with contributing team member Chris Hudson from Optometry.
