University of Waterloo hosts its first Biomedical Engineering and Technology Research Day.
Arya Amiri, a PhD student at the University of Waterloo's department of Systems Design Engineering, and a trainee in the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology's Training in Global Biomedical Technology Research and Innovation program, has been awarded a prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for 2023.
Dr. Vivek Goel is recognized in Canada and around the world as a leading public-health researcher, health-services evaluation expert, and champion for the use of research evidence in health policy making.
He also currently serves on the boards of the Vector Institute, TRIUMF, the Canadian Institute for Health Information, Canada Health Labs, and the Post Promise.
