Schiller Excursion - Maria Stuart

Sponsored by the Waterloo Centre for German Studies (WCGS), on Oct. 4, nineteen students and faculty travelled to Toronto to see the Soulpepper theatre company's rendition of Schiller's great tragedy Maria Stuart (1801) in English translation. In Nov. 2008 a further WCGS theatre excursion is planned to Stratford to see Lessing's Emilia Galotti, performed in German, and directed by Michael Thalheimer.
