Value description: Two awards valued at $4,000 each are presented annually.
- Full-time graduate students who are registered in the Faculty of Arts, conducting research in the German language, culture, history, and/or society.
- Eligible students can apply by submitting a CV and a one-page research project proposal (single-spaced, references can be on separate sheet). Applicants must also arrange for a letter of support from a UW faculty member.
- In order to be considered, the above documents and letter of support should be submitted to WCGS via the online form by March 1. PLEASE NOTE: FOR 2021 THE DEADLINE IS MARCH 15, 2021.
- Submissions will be adjudicated by the Waterloo Centre for German Studies Executive Committee - a group of German Studies professors - based on the merit of the research project proposal and its contribution to the mandate of the Centre as well as the student's record of graduate study and research.
