Award description: One award valued at $5,000 for two academic exchange terms or two awards valued at $2,500 for one academic exchange term each, will be provided to assist one or more undergraduate students enrolled in second, third, or fourth year of any program in the Faculty of Engineering who will be participating in an active exchange program between Waterloo and a partner institution in Germany or Austria. Candidates must have an overall academic average of at least 75%. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need for the term(s) abroad. Further preference will be given to students with some proficiency in German. Interested students should submit the general International Experience Award application to the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office. This award is supported by Dr. Marga Weigel, a proud Waterloo alumna to encourage engineering students to pursue exchange opportunities in Germany or Austria.
