How German and North American Readers Differ: An Interview With Christopher Kloeble

Monday, October 17, 2016

German author Christopher Kloeble spoke with UWaterloo professor James Skidmore about the differences between English and German, the challenges of having his novel translated into English, dealing with dark topics, and on being a German/Bavarian writer.

So grab a coffee, sit back, and have a listen as James interviews Christopher Kloeble on language, books, and culture.

Remember, too, that Christopher will be visiting Waterloo Region on November 1. Starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Kitchener Public Library's Central Branch, he'll be reading from his book, Almost Everything Very Fast, which was translated from the German and released earlier this year. A Q&A session will follow. Visit our event page for more information.
