The Stork Awards in German Studies are made possible by a generous donation from Fred & Ruth Stork. The awards are given out annually based on students’ participation in a recognized institutional Canadian-organized German language or cultural studies program abroad.

These awards are valued from $500 up to $1,500 per student and are awarded annually to full-time undergraduate or graduate students registered within the first four years of their program at the University of Waterloo and taking at least one Germanic and Slavic Studies course.
