Research meeting practice to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSD)

The Centre of Research Expertise for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (CRE-MSD) conducts research to improve the understanding of and prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). The single largest contributor to lost time claims and costs in Ontario (and worldwide) is MSD. CRE-MSD is recognized for its focus on the primary prevention of MSD: saving workers from injury in the first place.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
