Webinar - Launching a National Ambulance Design Standard

Tuesday, March 3, 2020 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Improving the health and safety of paramedics is one of the main goals in the launch of the new Ergonomic Design Standard for Ambulances and Related Equipment - CSA D500. Current ambulance and paramedic equipment design standards do not adequately safeguard paramedics from sacrificing personal safety for patient care, a known human factors and ergonomic (HFE) design challenge. This webinar highlights the scope of the new Canadian standard including the emphasis placed on ergonomics. Ambulance features such as workspace layout, patient compartment, driver cabin and the relationship to MSD prevention will be discussed.
