This year marks the 19th annual RSI Awareness Day

Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) are among the most common types of workplace injuries. Also known as musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), RSI include a number of painful injuries that affect the tendons, muscles, nerves, and joints.

February 28 is RSI Awareness Day, which is an annual event to help raise awareness about RSI. A number of organizations sponsor events on this date and provide resources to help raise awareness about RSI prevention.

The history of RSI Awareness Day

RSI Awareness Day is an annual event that was established on February 29, 2000. That day was selected because it is the only non-repetitive day of the year. The day is recognized on February 28 in non-leap years.
