Dr. Jim Dickey is an assistant professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Joint Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario. He studies the comfort and health risks associated with whole-body vibration, and has particular strengths in biomechanics and joint kinematics. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and more than 80 conference presentations. He has supervised eight doctoral and 25 master’s students. He has been on the organizing committee of several international conferences including a 2013 Bone and Joint Injury and Repair Conference in London, and the 5th American Conference on Human Vibration in Guelph in 2014.
