Abstract: Two vertices in a graph G are strongly cospectral if their projections onto the eigenspaces of the graph G are either equal or minus each other. This is a strengthening of the usual notion of cospectral vertices that arises in investigations of continuous quantum walks. In this talk, we explore the notion of strong cospectrality in trees and show that no tree contains a set of three vertices which are pairwise strongly cospectral.
