General requirements
To be considered for admission to the MMath program, an applicant will normally require a bachelors in mathematics with at least a 78% average. (For Canadian applicants, normally an honours bachelor's degree is required.) Applicants having other backgrounds, if accepted, will be asked to take additional mathematics courses or a qualifying year. An applicant for the PhD program should normally have an MMath degree, or its equivalent, with a 89% average, and should be acquainted with the basic concepts of combinatorics or optimization.
We accept applications for graduate studies throughout the year.
The deadline for admission for the fall term (starting in September) is January 15. We will, however, consider strong applications for the Fall term that are submitted after the January 15 deadline.

Applicants educated outside of Canada, including those from the United States, are recommended to submit scores from the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) subject test in mathematics.
