Title: Naji’s characterization of circle graphs

Speaker: Jim Geelen
Affiliation: University of Waterloo
Room: MC 5417

Abstract: A circle graph is the intersection graph of chords of a circle. Naji gave a surprising and beautiful linear-algebraic characterization of circle graphs; in joint work with Edward Lee, we found a more transparent proof, which I will outline in the talk.
