Abstract:
Emerging quantum technologies will change the way that our online information is stored and secured. To be cyber-safe we must be quantum-safe. It's possible, but we need to start planning now if we want to be ready in time. Quantum-safe cryptography expert Michele Mosca, co-founder of the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, provides insight into the new security challenges that will arise with evolving quantum technologies and what needs to happen to protect ourselves from security threats such as viruses, fraud and identity theft.
