Bill Tutte: A Snapshot of His Life
|Affiliation:||University of Waterloo|

Recently, I uncovered in my office a letter from Tutte written in Newmarket, England, dated July 7, 1996. The letter describes the events of the prior several weeks, including his first visit to Bletchley Park since the end of World War II.
I take this letter to be a Tutte self-portrait, a reference point from
which to view his life and career. Included are some pictures from my recent trip to Newmarket for the unveiling of the memorial in his honour.
