Congratulations to the recipients of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada's (NSERC) prestigious Julie Payette Research Scholarship. Of the seven UWaterloo receipients, four of the five math faculty recipients have ties to C&O:
- Elyot Grant, C&O major
- Steven Karp, C&O major
- Geoff Stanley, C&O undergraduate research assistant
- Robert Xiao, C&O double major with Computer Science
