Levent Tuncel awarded the 2012 Faculty of Mathematics Award for Distinction in Teaching

Professor Levent Tuncel was announced a winner of the 2012 Faculty of Mathematics Award for Distinction in Teaching.

Professor Tuncel was recognized for his outstanding teaching as well as his development of optimization courses at all levels.

His students enthusiastically supported Tuncel's nomination, referencing his "superhuman perfection" and "keen sense of humour to go along with his fine sense of mathematical beauty." Here are some excerpts from the many letters of support that Professor Tuncel received:
