Michele Mosca is named as a recipient of the Waterloo Region 40 under 40: Honouring those making a difference in our region.
The Waterloo Region Record newspaper came out with this year's "40 under 40", including Michele Mosca, professor in Combinatorics & Optimization, and deputy director of the Institute for Quantum Computing. "It was a very pleasant surprise and honour to be chosen, knowing how many remarkable people there are in this region," says Mosca. "I think the spirit and values of the community which founded the university were contagious and continued to bring more talent to the region over the years."

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
