Murray Martin

Mr. Martin's desire to apply the best research in information security to the practical challenges of postal payment systems worldwide led to a most productive partnership between Pitney Bowes and researchers at the University of Waterloo. His support was instrumental in establishing the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)/Pitney Bowes Industrial Research Chair in Cryptography in 1998, which was the catalyst for the formation of the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research, of which he is a distinguished fellow.
