Professor Luke Postle is a co-organizer of a workshop on graph colorings at the Banff International Research Station (BIRS). The workshop, which will be held from October 16-21, 2016, will bring together graph theorists from around the world to tackle some of the outstanding open problems in graph colorings. Among the problems considered will be the structure of k-critical graphs whose edge-density is close to minimal, the edge-density for k-list-critical graphs, generalizing Reed's conjecture to list-coloring, the 4-flow conjecture, and the Erdos-Hajnal conjecture.
