Stephen Watt, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, will be hosting the William Tutte Way Naming Celebration on May 12, 2017.

This event is in recognition of Professor Bill Tutte's mathematical achievements during World War II as well as the instrumental role he played in establishing the identity and reputation of the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Mathematics.

The event, beginning at 11:00 am, will open with a talk by Professor Dan Younger entitled "Bill Tutte and the Breaking of the Lorenz code at Bletchley Park". The unveiling ceremony,  scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm, will name the road between the three Faculty of Mathematics buildings in honour of Professor Bill Tutte.

Further details on the event can be found here.
