Comments:
My main goal was to extend the results of Professor Koray Karabina to obtain an optimal compression for a particular case of the problem (which has cryptographic applications). While, I was unable to that precisely, I was able to improve some earlier results and create some new interesting questions. Also, I will be able to continue my research and hopefully get the compression as I move on to grad school here in the fall. Working with Koray was really great and was a nice introduction into research. On top of that, the Combinatorics and Optimization department has a great atmosphere and is a great place to do research (something which all capable undergrads should consider).
