Please describe your overall experience in the program.

I really enjoyed working on more mature research questions for the first time. Having a mentor like David Jackson made a big difference.

How has your participation in the URA program impacted your later experiences?

I ended up doing research later in somewhat different areas. But these were not entirely unrelated to my URA research so it was interesting to have a somewhat different perspective. My understanding of what is quality research is quite different today than when I was an undergraduate. The URA helped me develop this understanding.

What have you been up to since your URA position, and what are you working on now?

I finished my PhD and now I'm a faculty member at UBC. My main research area is in algebraic geometry and representation theory.
