Luis Ricardez-Sandoval is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Canada Research Chair in Multiscale Modelling and Process Systems. Dr. Ricardez-Sandoval's current research interests are focused on the development and application of novel optimization tools for various emerging applications including multiscale systems. In particular, Dr. Ricardez-Sandoval develops research in the areas of integration of planning, scheduling and control for large-scale operations, optimal design and control of chemical processes under uncertainty, optimal product design emanated from multiscale process systems and optimal operation and control of emerging enery and CO2 capture technologies.
