In 2021, WICI submitted a formal motion for renewal that was accepted and approved by University of Waterloo Senate on November 15, 2021, extending WICI's status as a senate-approved institute until November 30th, 2026. This report includes a snapshot of the past five years of activity and reviews our five-year plan through 2025.
A stand-alone copy of our five-year plan that was also included in our 2020 Renewal Report (above).
This document provides a detailed overview of WICI including the evolution and progress of our institutional goals, priorities, and finances, a span of WICI-related scholarship and research, and a complete list of activities and events over the first 10 years of operation.
Each year, the Waterloo Institute for Complexity and Innovation prepares an annual report on the scholarship, research, activities and events what WICI has engaged in. These reports have informed our renewal applications in 2015 and 2021.
The 2020 and 2021 Annual Reports (forthcoming) will detail more specifically the activities of the past two years as WICI prepared for Centre renewal.
