Majid Mirza

Majid Mirza is pursuing his PhD in Sustainability Management at the University of Waterloo with a focus on financing the Sustainable Development Goals. He has over 10 years of international development and impact investing experience and is a consultant to the Canadian Government on development finance. 

His experience also includes blended finance and working with the private sector, corporate foundations, family foundations, non-profit organizations and governments. Majid's international development work has covered value chain work, SME development, technical skills training and corporate social responsibility. It has taken him to 20 countries in Africa, Latin America, South and South East Asia and the Middle East. Having worked in diverse and multi-faceted development environments, Majid has the ability to manage impact projects in a way that they resonate across a variety of stakeholders including investors, board members, management, employees, clients/customers, non-profits, academia and Government.
