Health Outcomes Scientist, Nova Scotia Health

Samuel Petrie is a Health Outcomes Scientist at Nova Scotia Health and adjunct professor at Dalhousie University. Originally from Halifax, he completed his BKI at the University of Waterloo in 2016, his PhD in Health Sciences at Carleton University in 2022, and a post-doctoral Health System Impact Fellowship at the University of Toronto and University Health Network in 2024. His research interests include implementation science, qualitative methodology, learning health systems, and strengthening rural health access. His current job leverages implementation and complexity science theories, models, and frameworks, in the evaluation of innovative programs and models of care across the Nova Scotian healthcare system.
