Dr. Simone Philpot is a Fellow at the Cascade Institute where she combines systems modeling with qualitative research to enhance foresight and strategic decision-making. Drawing on a range of systems methods, Simone examines challenges ranging from the interconnections between land and maritime energy transitions to the influence of values and worldviews on the future of geothermal energy systems. She has previously applied her expertise to water resources management, aggregate mining, and decision support for maritime shipping. Simone is a certified StrategyFinder consultant and holds a PhD in Geography and Environmental Management, from the University of Waterloo.
