Assistant Professor

Thomas Bury is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Riverside following his Postdoctoral Research role in the Department of Physiology at McGill University. He received his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Previously, he completed the Mathematical Tripos at the University Cambridge with first class honours, specializing in applications to biological and theoretical physics.
Thomas’ current research concerns the application of mathematics and artificial intelligence to the natural sciences, including medicine, ecology, and the climate. He is currently developing methods to better predict and classify cardiac arrhythmia.
