Yue Dou is an Assistant Professor in the Natural Resource Department of ITC-Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation at University of Twente in the Netherlands.
Currently, she is mapping European land systems to model biodiversity, particularly the agricultural and grassland intensity. Her background is in GIScience and land system science. She is specialized in analysing socio-ecological issues emerged from land-use changes, with a strong focus on the sustainable agricultural management and smallholder resilience. She has conducted research in the Brazilian Amazon and Cerrado regions, as well as in northeast China, the main agricultural production region.
She has recently co-developed an open-access online training course for Agent-Based Modelling.
