Welcome future Master's students!

Thank you for your interest in Master's studies in Computational Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Computational Mathematics (CM) is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines and unifies fundamental techniques from mathematics, statistics, and computer science to solve real-world problems that require quantitative modelling and high-end computing. Our graduates find among the most interesting and rewarding high-end technology jobs in banks, tech companies, industry and government (both for co-op and post-graduation).

Our Master's program is an intensive, 12-month, funded, research-based program with an optional additional four-month paid co-op work term in high-end Canadian or international companies.

There is a new Interdisciplinary Master's Fellowship in Computation and Data (i-Comp-Data), the program supports students who are interested in interdisciplinary research projects in the area of data and computation that cross faculty boundaries.

Please navigate through our site for more information about our program and how to apply.
