Award description:
An award valued at $4000 will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the master's or doctoral program in the Department of Systems Design in the Faculty of Engineering who is working on skin cancer research in the Vision and Image processing lab which is a research group within the Department. Selection will be made by the Director of the Vision and Image Processing lab, without the need for an award application. This fund is made possible by a donation from a University of Waterloo alumna and a retired UW staff in memory of her son.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time graduate students registered in the Master's or Doctoral program in the Department of Systems Design Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering who are working on skin cancer research in the Vision and Image processing lab, which is a research group with the department.
- Application is not required
- The Director of the Vision and Image Processing Lab will select recipients normally each Fall.
