Award description: 
The Mathematics Graduate Enhancement Scholarship will be provided automatically to recipients of an Ontario Trillium Scholarship who are registered full-time in their doctoral program in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. In the first year, the scholarship will be valued at $15,000; in the second, third, and fourth years, the scholarship will be valued at $10,000. Each year, the scholarship will be paid in equal instalments across three terms. Selection will be made automatically by the Faculty of Mathematics based on the awarding of the Ontario Trillium Scholarship.

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

  • Students must be registered full-time in doctoral program in the Faculty of Mathematics.
  • Recipients must be receiving the Ontario Trillium Scholarship {OTS) under the terms and conditions set out under the OTS program.
  • Selection will be made automatically by the Faculty of Mathematics based on the awarding of the OTS
  • Students receiving the OTS will be automatically awarded this scholarship throughout their eligibility period.
  • The enhancement scholarship will be paid annually; each annual scholarship will be paid in equal instalments across three terms.
  • Students who are no longer eligible to hold the OTS will no longer receive the Mathematics Graduate Enhancement Scholarship.
