Award description:
School of Pharmacy Annual Graduate Awards recognize and celebrate excellence by School of Pharmacy Master's and/or Doctoral students during one calendar year of study (winter, spring, fall). Graduate students are automatically considered by the School of Pharmacy without the need for a specific award application. Awards are valued at $250 with up to four awarded in any year based on any of the following criteria:

  • Highest Final Grade in the Course PHARM 610 Topics in Drug Development.
  • Best Student Presentation in the Pharmacy Research Seminar Series.
  • Best Graduate Student Teaching Assistant.
  • Substantial Impact on Pharmacy's Overall Research Mission.

Value description:
Up to four awards given each year, valued at $250 each. Award recipients receive a plaque and have their name engraved on a display plaque that remains in Pharmacy.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
Recipient must be registered in a Master's or doctoral program in the School of Pharmacy.

Award recipients are selected by the Pharmacy Graduate Studies & Research Committee annually in April per the following criteria (no application required): 

  • Highest Final Grade in the Course PHARM 610 Topics in Drug Development.
    • In the year in which the award is given.
  • Best Student Presentation in the Pharmacy Research Seminar Series.
    • Based on scores and comments from faculty reviewers; must have presented during the previous three terms.
  • Best Graduate Student Teaching Assistant.
    • Nominated by an Instructor.
  • Substantial Impact on Pharmacy's Overall Research Mission.
    • Nominated by faculty or graduate student.
