International Doctoral Student Award (IDSA) value updated for fall 2026
The award value of the International Doctoral Student Award (IDSA/IDSA4) has been updated effective September 1, 2026.
The IDSA is intended to approximate the difference between full-time domestic and full-time international doctoral tuition rates. Following a change to the domestic graduate tuition rate for fall 2026, the difference between domestic and international tuition has decreased. As a result, the IDSA value has been adjusted.
Beginning in fall 2026, eligible students may receive:
- Up to $5,100 per term
- Up to $15,300 annually
This represents a change from the previous value of up to $5,140 per term ($15,420 annually).
No changes have been made to IDSA eligibility requirements or other program terms and conditions.
