For the first time ever, The Water Institute have partnered with BlackBerry to create the inaugural Water Innovation Challenge! This challenge is open to University of Waterloo professors & students and aims to identify innovative applications of BlackBerry technologies that address water-related challenges or opportunities.
Applications must address or improve one of the following areas:
- “smart water” loT-enabled solutions
- the security of critical water utilities and systems
- emergency event management
- “green” technologies for water or wastewater treatment.
Applicants are also free to identify other research areas.
Proposals are due February 24, 2022. BlackBerry will sponsor the winner's research proposal!
