The Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute hosted a unique interdisciplinary workshop on campus that brought together University of Waterloo faculty, staff, and students, as well as industry representatives and visiting academics. Attendees spent an enjoyable and thought-provoking day Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Enterprise Theatre in East Campus 5 exploring algorithmic game theory by hearing perspectives from both economists and computer scientists in a special speaker/presentation format organized and led by CPI’s Acting Executive Director, Anindya Sen.

CPI is excited to announce Diogo Barradas as interim Associate Director of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute (CPI). Barradas has been a member of CPI since 2022 and assumes the role while the previous Associate Director, Anindya Sen, fills in as Acting Executive Director to cover a sabbatical.

CPI is excited to welcome Anindya Sen as interim Executive Director of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute. Sen, who was CPI's Associate Director, is assuming this role while our previous Executive Director, N. Asokan, is on sabbatical.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of computer science, the fascinating realm of embedded security is the research focal point for two University of Waterloo graduate students and Cybersecurity & Privacy Institute members, Murray Dunne and Cameron Hadfield. Murray, currently immersed in his PhD in Computer Science (CS), and Cameron, a recent graduate from Waterloo's Computer Science program pursuing a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), share their insights into this multifaceted field and their academic journeys.
