CPI is excited to announce Diogo Barradas as interim Associate Director of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute (CPI). Barradas has been a member of CPI since 2022 and assumes the role while the previous Associate Director, Anindya Sen, fills in as Acting Executive Director to cover a sabbatical.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of computer science, the fascinating realm of embedded security is the research focal point for two University of Waterloo graduate students and Cybersecurity & Privacy Institute members, Murray Dunne and Cameron Hadfield. Sirisha Rambhatla, an accomplished engineer, attended the College of Engineering (COER) in Roorkee, India, excelling in her studies and interning at prestigious institutions like IIT Roorkee and IIT Kanpur. Her passion for signal processing led her to the University of Minnesota for advanced studies under Dr. Jarvis Haupt. Now an Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo, she leads the Critical ML lab, addressing healthcare challenges with AI and ML models while advocating for privacy-conscious approaches.
