The next virtual Pivot-RP workshop for faculty members, post-docs and graduate students is scheduled for Friday, April 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. via MS Teams.
In this workshop, the facilitator will present the key functionality of Pivot-RP for researchers. In a few slides, they will describe what Pivot-RP is then move into a live demo, covering topics such as claiming your profile, searching for funding, tracking, sharing and exporting funding opportunities, and highlighting available resources. The final 30 minutes will be dedicated to a Q&A with the facilitator.

The electronic ballot for staff representative to the Board of Governors is now open. The voting period for regular full-time staff (non-union and OPSEU) will close on Tuesday, March 12 at 4:30 p.m.
Each regular full-time staff member eligible to vote received an email from vote@simplyvoting.com with a direct link to the ballot.

Waterloo's Women in Mathematics (WiM) committee is hosting a panel discussion to explore the challenges female group leaders have encountered in their academic journey and how they overcame them.
The panel discussion is on Friday, March 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in MC 5501. A light lunch will be provided.

The Library is inviting you to join the Open Scholarship Committee for an online event to discuss upcoming Tri-Agency Open Access Policy updates with fellow Waterloo scholars and researchers. "Engage in meaningful discussion about the implications, challenges and opportunities presented by the policy," says a note from the Library. "There are two opportunities to participate: register now to attend either on Wednesday March 20 at noon or Thursday March 21 at 3:30 p.m. on the Library’s event page."
The Music department's Noon Hour Concert series continues today with Café Music. A Magisterra soloists group performs Schoenfield’s Café Musicand Mendelsohn’s Trio No. 1. The group includes Annette-Barbara Vogel on violin, Tom Landshoot on cello and Mehdi Ghazi on piano.
The free concert takes place today at 12:30 p.m. in the Conrad Grebel Chapel.
Register for Student Climate Con 2024: The Climate Leaders’ program at the Waterloo Climate Institute invites UWaterloo students to attend the Student Climate Con taking place on Saturday, March 16 at St Jerome's University. "The convention is being organized to showcase the contributions of students tackling climate change in all forms across all disciplines and faculties," organizers say. "Register today to not miss out!" Registration closes on Saturday, March 9.
Local charities gathered at Federation Hall Tuesday night for Pitch Perfect 2024, an event organized by Social Venture Partners Waterloo Region that featured many participants with University connections. Representatives from local charities worked on honing their non-profit's pitch down to a tight three minute presentation, with audience members voting for their favourite.
