Open Education Week: Introduction to OER with eCampus Ontario and Lunch

Open Education (OE) Week is an annual event that celebrates open educational practices and resources. OE Week runs March 4 - 8, 2024, with activities hosted around the globe! 

Join us to learn about eCampus Ontario’s Open Library. One of our librarians will guide you through the basics of Open Education Resources (OER), how to navigate the Open Library’s 1600+ OER catalogue, and the basics of creating and licensing your own OER. You’ll have a chance to ask questions and discover the Open Library’s various platforms and services.  

By the end of the workshop, you’ll learn to navigate the Open Library to find OER that can be used within your own pedagogical practices and walk away feeling comfortable navigating the licensing and copyright considerations of OER. 

This event is hosted in collaboration with the University of Waterloo’s Open Scholarship Committee and will take place in-person and virtually!
