Strengthening community and support for faculty and postdoctoral scholars

A message from the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism (EDI-R).
The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism (EDI-R) is proud to launch the Faculty and Post-Doc Scholars Resource—an online hub created specifically to support faculty members and postdoctoral scholars from marginalized communities.
Developed with intentionality, and in response to Recommendation 61 of the President's Anti-Racism Taskforce, this resource provides information on teaching, research, wellness, and other supports on campus.
It offers insights into key services, affinity groups, and support units across campus, many of which are actively working to challenge systemic inequities and build more inclusive environments.
It is designed to foster community, connection, and a sense of belonging—creating space for scholars to thrive both personally and professionally.
Need help navigating it? Connect with us confidentially through the EDI-R intake form.
Advancing transparency in responsible investing

A message from Finance.
In February 2025, the Task Force on Social Responsibility in Investing (“Task Force”) released its Report, offering a series of recommendations following a comprehensive review of the University of Waterloo’s Responsible Investment Policy and related frameworks. The report focused on integrating social factors into the University’s Pension and Endowment investment mandates.
We are pleased to share that as part of the University’s initial response to the Task Force’s recommendations, our Investment and Responsible Investing webpages have now been updated, providing more transparency surrounding endowment and pension plan investments.
Consistent with the University’s commitment to socially responsible investing, Finance continues to work with the relevant Board Committees on other elements of the Task Force Report and will provide updates as they are available.
We thank the Task Force for its thoughtful work and the campus community for its continued engagement in shaping a more socially responsible future.
When hunger strikes, we deliver — literally!
