The newest addition to the Ecology Teaching labs, the Teaching Resource for Environmental Education, or the TREE lab is an open and inviting space for overflow course activities, workshops and other events.
The TREE lab was renovated using reclaimed and recycled materials to showcase our mission of being environmental responsible, features include:
- Reclaimed vintage solid wood cabinets
- Energy efficient LED lights that will never need replacing
- Wood wall constructed from barnboard reclaimed from nearby sawmill
- Reclaimed work tables
- Chairs from existing inventory
- Radiators 40x more efficient than original
- Polished concrete floor with no added materials
