Explore a small, local, urban watershed. The creek that runs through campus is actually part of a bigger system, called ‘Laurel Creek’. The Laurel Creek watershed is heavily disturbed by human activity as it passes through subdivisions, under roads and through campus.

The goal of this tour is to:
- Understand the impacts of water quality and the health of aquatic ecosystems
- The impact of land use on water quality
- Learn about the significance of reservoirs and their pros and cons
- Understand the process of an environmental assessment
