We invite all Waterloo ECE graduate students to join us every day during the week of April 22-26, 2019 from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. in EIT 3142 (BYOL- Bring Your Own Lunch!), for a variety of workshops designed to support ECE Graduate Student wellness. Monday, April 22nd – Redefining Wellness. There is no such thing as “one size fits all” wellness. Join us as we take a look at what Wellbeing really means. Learn some great tips to help you improve your overall wellbeing, and create your personalized plan to improve and maintain your wellbeing.
Tuesday, April 23rd – Where Did the Time go? Let’s face it, as grad students time is your most precious commodity and your most cruel taskmaster. Join us and learn a variety of effective time management approaches to help you meet deadlines and reduce stress. (Bring your calendar with you).
Wednesday, April 24th – But, I Don’t Want to Fight! It’s almost impossible to get along perfectly with everyone all of the time, but conflicts don’t always have to be negative! Interpersonal conflicts are part of life and can be used creatively to improve communication and relationships. Join us and learn some effective strategies for harnessing the power of conflict and seeking resolution!
Thursday, April 25th – Overcoming Setbacks and Failures. To paraphrase Joseph Conrad, the only people who have never made mistakes are those who have never tried. Unfortunately, mistakes are part of learning and succeeding. Throughout our lives we will all face setbacks in numerous arenas. However, sometimes mistakes and failures can lead us to the best and most unexpected places. Join us and learn more about how to turn your setbacks into successes!
Friday, April 26th – Making Friends with Stress. It is well known that stress impacts everything from physical and mental health to learning to relationships to success in life.
