Capstone Design is the final step in the undergraduate experience, fostering innovation in engineering design.
Supported by several awards, it gives Waterloo Engineering students the chance to create and design projects related to their fields of study.
A degree requirement, Capstone Design challenges teams to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom and through co-op work terms, while promoting teamwork, project management, and research and development.
Groundbreaking ideas leading to the creation of Athos, BufferBox, Intellijoint HIP, Myo armband and the Pebble smartwatch all started as Capstone Design projects.
